Investigation of neural network agent errors for predictive analysis of mining enterprises' energy consumption

G. O. Molodtsov , P. S. Dolgiy , R. A. Dorovskikh

Abstract. This article analyzes errors when using a neural network agent for predictive analysis of energy consumption of mining enterprises. It was argued and proved that, despite the presence of systematic errors related to the architecture of the model and the nature of the data, modern methods and models can significantly reduce the impact of random errors and increase the reliability of the forecast. The paper demonstrates several approaches to error analysis on a real production dataset, and also evaluates the effectiveness of each of the methods: CatBoost and MLP.
